A
full day conference focused on business ownership and self-employment
opportunities. This event is designed to assist participants in
gaining an understanding of the variety of business ownership
opportunities available to them and the knowledge required to
pursue them intelligently.
This
event is designed to explore the topics of self-employment, business
ownership, entrepreneurship and how they apply to career decisions.
The 2005 keynote speakers, Dorothy Herman (CEO, Prudential Douglas
Elliman) and Al Berg (CEO, Marchon Eyewear), provided insightful
and motivational talks. Participants were able to attend two of
eighteen breakout sessions on more specialized topics. There was
ample time for making contacts over breakfast, lunch and at an
afternoon Networking Reception. The conference started out in
Roosevelt Hall.
