Subcontracting: Notes from the Field
This
hands-on session explores the questions and answers in identifying
and sourcing to emerging, low cost markets. By removing the veil
of mystery surrounding contracting to emerging and transitional
markets, this break out workgroup will identify specific steps and
provide templates for successful subcontracting. Using the guidebook
“Outsourcing the SME Way: A guide for the rest of us”
this working session will explore the issues in identifying subcontracting
opportunities, finding suppliers, contracting, managing, compensating
and evaluating subcontractors. With a special focus on emerging
markets, this working session is designed to help businesses looking
to reduce costs and increase efficiencies through the sourcing of
supply chain and value added activities.
